Royal Mail opens the door to reviewing missing village localities

After further correspondence, Royal Mail has identified addresses that may qualify for a locality review in the Farnhams and neighbouring villages.

Like many residents, I have long been frustrated by the way some addresses in our Buckinghamshire villages appear under the Slough postal town.

Following my correspondence with Royal Mail, its public affairs team has identified 269 addresses near Middle Green and George Green that may be eligible for a consultation on adding or correcting a locality in postal address records.

This is not a commitment to change the Slough post town, and I do not want to suggest otherwise. But it is a useful opening to address some of the more obvious geographical inconsistencies.

I am continuing to explore the evidence and boundary information needed to progress this with the relevant organisations and parish councils. Our villages have their own identity, and it matters that this is recognised.
